Chapter One: The Lost Toy
Whiskers the kitten loved playing with his red ball. One sunny morning, he looked everywhere in the house. But the red ball was gone, gone, gone!
Whiskers meowed, "Where is my ball? Where could it be?" He searched under the bed. No ball. He looked behind the couch. No ball.
Whiskers decided to go to the garden. "Maybe my ball is there," he thought. The garden was big and green.
In the garden, Whiskers saw a butterfly. "Hello, butterfly! Have you seen my red ball?" he asked. The butterfly just fluttered by.
Whiskers sniffed the flowers. He looked around the trees. No red ball. He was getting tired.
Chapter Two: The Surprise Find
Whiskers heard a rustling noise. "What is that?" he wondered. It came from the tall grass.
He tiptoed closer and closer. With each step, the sound got louder and louder.
Whiskers peeked into the grass. There it was! His red ball!
Whiskers purred with joy. "I found it! I found my red ball!" he cheered.
He batted the ball happily across the garden. The ball rolled and bounced, and Whiskers chased it with glee.
Whiskers learned that sometimes things hide in the most surprising places. He was a happy kitten with his favorite toy.
