It was a sunny morning on Mauritius, and Elodie woke up with excitement bubbling inside her. Today was her birthday, and she couldn’t wait to see what surprises awaited her! As she sat up, her curly hair bounced around her face. She quickly ran to the window to look outside.

JD led Elodie to a beautiful spot by the lagoon. The clear water sparkled under the sun, and gentle waves lapped at the shore. A colorful picnic blanket was spread out, with all of Elodie’s favorite snacks.
“I know how much you love picnics,” JD said with a grin. “So, I thought this would be the perfect place to celebrate.” Elodie’s eyes lit up as she sat down on the blanket. There were fresh fruits, sandwiches, and even a small cake!
As they enjoyed their treats, Elodie noticed the cool breeze rustling the palm trees. She felt so grateful for JD’s thoughtfulness. “This is perfect, JD,” she said, beaming. “I love it here!”
JD laughed, “I’m glad you’re having fun, Elodie. There’s more to come!” With the sun shining and the sound of the lagoon, Elodie felt it was the best birthday ever.

After their picnic, JD suggested they build sandcastles on the beach. “Let’s see who can build the tallest tower!” he challenged with a playful grin.
Elodie clapped her hands, eager to start. They gathered wet sand and began molding it into towers. The sun was warm against their backs, and their laughter filled the air.
Elodie’s tower was taller, but JD’s had more details. “Yours is amazing, JD!” she exclaimed. “Yours is taller, Elodie! Great job!” JD replied. They decided it was a tie, and they both cheered.

After their sandcastle fun, JD had another surprise. “Let’s get some ice cream!” he announced. Elodie’s eyes sparkled with delight.
They walked to a nearby ice cream stand, choosing their favorite flavors. Elodie picked coconut, while JD chose mango. The ice cream was cool and sweet, perfect for the sunny day.
