With the island’s secrets uncovered, Lily and Max made their way back to the shore. They felt different, as if the island had given them a special gift.
“I think this was the best International Nurses Day ever,” Max said with a big smile. Lily nodded, clutching the stone tablet close.
As they reached their boat, the island began to shimmer and fade, leaving behind only the sound of gentle waves and the warm glow in their hearts.
