A Circle’s Day
In the middle of the forest, Sammy the squirrel woke up. He stretched his little legs and looked around. ‘Hello, bright circle!’ he chirped to the big, yellow sun in the sky. The sun was a perfect circle. Sammy loved circles. They were round and fun!
Sammy scampered over to a pond. ‘Look!’ he said to his friend, the frog. ‘The pond is a big, round circle too!’ The frog nodded, ‘Ribbit, ribbit,’ and jumped into the water, making little circles ripple out.
Then, Sammy saw some red apples under the tree. ‘Circles everywhere!’ he squealed with delight. He counted, ‘One, two, three red circles!’

With a happy heart, Sammy decided to find more shapes. ‘Goodbye, round friends!’ he called and bounced away. It was going to be a day full of shapes and numbers!
Square Friends
Sammy hopped along the path until he met a square rock. ‘Hello, Square!’ he chirped. The rock was funny with its four straight sides. Sammy counted, ‘One, two, three, four!’
Nearby, he spotted a patch of square flowers. ‘Oh, what a surprise!’ he giggled. The flowers were all squares, each the same size, with bright petals. ‘One, two, three squares!’ Sammy counted happily.
He met a turtle on a square stepping stone. ‘Hello, Turtle!’ Sammy said. ‘Your stone is a square too!’ The turtle waved and smiled under the sun.

‘I love squares!’ Sammy cheered and jumped up and down. He was ready for more shapes and numbers!
Triangle Adventure
The sun was high, and Sammy found a triangle hill. ‘Look, a triangle!’ he exclaimed. The hill was pointy with three sides. Sammy counted, ‘One, two, three!’
At the top, he saw a group of triangle birds. ‘Hello, birds!’ he waved. They flapped their wings in triangles, soaring through the sky. Sammy counted them too, ‘One, two, three birds!’
Beside him, a triangle-shaped leaf fell from a tree. ‘Triangles are fun!’ he laughed. Sammy loved finding new shapes.

With a wiggle and a giggle, Sammy slid down the hill. ‘Goodbye, triangle friends!’ he called, eager for more shapes.
Rectangle Journey
Sammy scurried through the forest and found a rectangle log. ‘Hello, Rectangle!’ he said. Logs were long and strong!
He counted the rectangles he saw. There were two rectangle pieces of bark, ‘One, two!’ Sammy clapped his paws in joy.
Next, he found a rectangle sign pointing to the lake. ‘To the lake!’ he cheered and began his little journey.

Sammy loved counting rectangles. ‘I can’t wait to find more shapes!’ he chattered as he continued his adventure.
A Starry Night
As the day ended, Sammy lay on a soft patch of grass. ‘Look!’ he whispered, pointing at the sky. ‘Stars!’
Stars were different, not like any other shape. They twinkled and shone brightly. Sammy counted softly, ‘One, two, three, four, five stars!’
The moon was round, like a big circle, watching over Sammy. ‘Goodnight, moon,’ he yawned.

With a sleepy sigh, Sammy closed his eyes. ‘Goodnight, shapes and numbers,’ he murmured softly. Tomorrow would be another adventure!
